Getting the younger generation to be more green

Skateboard company, Element Clothes have launched a campaign to increase awareness about the planet. There campaign includes a whole product range of clothes, skateboards and hardware associated with how to help save the planet and use renewable energy. The campaign also highlights how we are not doing nearly enough to help the planet and it is trying to get straight to the attention of young individuals who do skateboard to take it to heart and act on it. It is a very clever campaign as it can target the younger generation through a medium that they know and respect. If a skateboard company such as Element advertise the need and urgency to help the planet then younger kids will take notice.
Another company in the same industry, O’neill clothes have taken on a similar role by advertising  to help the planet in its fight for using renewable energy. They have adopted a very similar campaign for their company by designing a range of clothes and surf wear to help promote the message of recycling and cutting back on using so much disposable energy in the day.
All in all it is a great way to get the message to kids in a feasible and clever way. If we educate our kids at a young age about how to renew energy sources then we surely have a bright future to look forward to.That will be the only way that we can be sure of a greener and happier future for everyone. I don’t think that we should stop here, I think we should make this compulsory for every company like Element clothing and O’Neill to tell kids of the younger generation about renewing energy. It is one thing getting to the older generation but it is another to train our young children on how to act on this from a younger age which is what it is all about.
